Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Civil Engineers to support detailed design and Design & Build water infrastructure projects across the UK. You will work within a multidisciplinary delivery team, delivering safe, robust designs for regulated water clients.

This role suits an engineer developing technical capability in detailed civil design, collaborating with designers, construction teams and project managers across the project lifecycle, with a hybrid working model and clear progression paths.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in civil engineering detailed design, ideally within the water sector.
• Understanding of detailed design and construction delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed civil designs for water and wastewater assets following client standards and industry best practice.
• Prepare drawings, calculations and technical documentation for design reviews and quality assurance.
• Support Design & Build and alliancing delivery, embedding constructability and sequencing into design development.
• Collaborate with contractors and supply chain partners, managing design changes and technical queries during live construction.
• Support project planning and delivery, contributing to design scheduling, value engineering and cost-led decisions.
• Manage design risk and maintain technical records to support commercial processes.
