Jacobs is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to help deliver critical water infrastructure across the UK, ensuring safe, reliable supply and environmental protection. You’ll work through feasibility, detailed design, construction and commissioning as part of a collaborative team.

This role offers exposure to major investment programmes with leading water companies, clear progression toward chartership, and flexible hybrid working to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience within the UK water industry.
• Strong hydraulic engineering and design knowledge.
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as HADES, WinHydro, SWMM, or similar.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards professional accreditation.
• For senior roles, experience leading hydraulic studies and supporting the development of others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hydraulic designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across feasibility, detailed design, construction and commissioning.
• Contribute to major investment programmes and work with leading UK water companies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable water services and environmental protection.
• Support development of others and provide technical leadership within projects.
