Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Design Manager to coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across UK water and wastewater projects, ensuring integrated, buildable designs that support delivery and operation.

You will work with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, process and construction teams to manage design packages, track progress and resolve technical issues while focusing on safety, value and reliability. Hybrid working options are available across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating the design or engineering delivery of water/wastewater projects.
• Practical understanding of how design interacts with construction, commissioning and operations.
• Experience within NEC3/NEC4 delivery environments and change control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary detailed design activities across water and wastewater projects.
• Manage defined design packages and project workstreams, including scope, programme and interfaces.
• Track progress, resolution of technical or delivery issues and assurance activities.
• Ensure buildability, sequencing, access, safety and operation are reflected in the design.
• Provide clear direction to design teams and support clients with coordinated designs.
