Job summary

Clancy is seeking a Project Manager with a construction or civil engineering background to deliver water and wastewater projects for Southern Water in the UK. You will manage a portfolio from award through design and construction to commissioning and handover, coordinating site teams, designers and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

The role focuses on MEICA elements, civil engineering and ensuring NEC contractual processes are followed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering construction, civil engineering or utilities projects.
• Experience in water or wastewater sectors is preferred.
• Ability to work with design, site teams, commercial colleagues and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of projects from award through to construction, commissioning and handover.
• Managing programme, cost, quality and HSEQ performance across your projects.
• Working closely with site teams to ensure resources, information and support for delivery.
• Coordinating design and construction requirements with designers and engineering specialists.
• Managing civil engineering and MEICA elements within a multi-disciplinary delivery environment.
• Developing and monitoring project programmes, identifying delays or risks and taking action.
• Working with the commercial team on project costs, change and compensation events.
• Managing suppliers and specialist subcontractors to support the project programme.
• Building strong relationships with Southern Water and keeping them informed.
• Working within NEC contract processes and maintaining project records.
• Ensuring safety, environmental and quality standards and CDM requirements.
• Attending sites regularly to understand progress and support delivery teams.
