Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing Water team, delivering projects for UK water companies, authorities and environment organisations. You will work across water, highways, development infrastructure, utilities, applying your skills to major environmental challenges and regulated/non-regulated projects.

With a strong pipeline and framework access, you’ll contribute to planning, design, and delivery, develop practical, innovative engineering solutions, and progress toward

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Working towards Chartership or recently Chartered with ICE or CIWEM.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to take ownership of technical tasks and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and delivering practical, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Water industry experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design and assessment for water and environmental infrastructure projects.
• Take ownership of technical work packages and support the successful delivery of projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines to develop integrated and sustainable outcomes.
• Support project delivery from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction across multiple framework commissions.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners, developing confidence in client-facing responsibilities.
• Contribute to project planning, coordination, and resource management, building your experience in leading project teams and delivering successful outcomes.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and the adoption of new technologies.
• Help identify opportunities that create additional value for clients and communities.
