Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Water Engineer to lead delivery on complex multi-disciplinary projects across the UK water sector. You will coordinate a team, review technical outputs, and ensure alignment with project milestones and budgets within a hybrid working model.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, Chartered status, and proven experience in water infrastructure. Strong collaboration, communication, and risk-management skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer preferred.
• Experience coordinating a Civil Water engineering design delivery team in a design consultancy.
• Proven collaboration with Contractors across full project lifecycles.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, quality control, design management and collaboration with key disciplines.
• Experience in Water infrastructure design and delivery.
• Familiarity with CDM regulations, Eurocodes and NEC.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Experience in the Water market is required.
• Excellent communication within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team of Civil Water engineers for delivery of technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Produce and review design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work with defined scope.
• Provide technical input into civil water design deliverables for multi-disciplinary projects and manage time and budgets to milestones.
• Collaborate with client, operations, project, or service activities within the team and other AtkinsRéalis groups.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and grow Civil Water capabilities in the local team.
• Work independently with minimal guidance and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Provide technical support for bid proposals.
• Work with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to QA standards including check and review of own and others' work.
