Job summary

Arcadis is looking for a Civil Engineer to support multiple Water Frameworks across the UK, contributing to Optioneering, feasibility, outline and detailed design for wastewater, clean water, and non-infrastructure projects.

You will apply BIM-led design and Civils 3D, collaborate with clients and supply chain, and develop expertise toward chartership while expanding your commercial and programme knowledge within our growing UK Water team.

Qualifications

• Have a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Made positive progress toward achieving Chartered or Incorporated status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Have previous experience in the water industry.
• Is highly motivated and can influence outcomes.
• Is a collaborator with good people and inter-personal skills.
• Has a working knowledge and/or experience of BIM led design and Civils 3D.
• Has a good working knowledge and understanding of the applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Have a keenness and willingness to learn and develop new engineering skills, take on specific tasks and engineering assignments across the project life cycle.
• Develop and grow experience using innovative new solutions using the latest design software and 3D techniques.
• Preparation of high-quality outline & detailed designs drawings and associated other Construction-Ready documentation.
• Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverables.
• Work in collaboration with clients, contractors, the supply chain, other project stakeholders and wider team members.
• Work in accordance with our Business Management processes and procedures.
• Assist in achieving wider business goals for positive Safety, Health, Quality and Sustainability outcomes.
• Develop a wider knowledge including commercial, programme and finance.
• Grow and develop your personal skillsets towards chartership and furthering your career.
