Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to deliver major water asset design projects across the AMP8 programme. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure health, safety and quality standards are met.

If you are Chartered, able to mentor junior staff, and comfortable working with clients, this role offers hybrid working and opportunities to progress within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered status, or significant progression towards membership of the ICE or CIWEM.
• Experience in managing engineering design teams and delivering projects to budget and schedule.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for all aspects of project delivery including health & safety, technical, quality, schedule and budget.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Shape the delivery of services and identify opportunities to deliver additional services.
• Build relationships with Clients to ensure satisfaction and outcomes.
• Contribute to innovation, new digital products and Future Ready/Net Zero initiatives.
• Line manage and support development of graduate engineers and apprentices.
• Contribute to recruitment and growth of the civil engineering team.
• Continue development of technical, managerial and leadership skills.
