Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary teams on water sector projects and contribute to AMP8 capital programmes. The role offers mentoring opportunities and exposure to global best practices.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and safety while developing junior staff and building strong client relationships across the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered status, or progression towards ICE/CIWEM.
• Experience leading civil engineering design teams.
• Experience delivering projects within budget and schedule.
• Mentoring or coaching junior staff.
• Client-facing experience.
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for all aspects of project delivery including health & safety, technical, quality, schedule and budget.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Shape service delivery and identify opportunities to work with wider WSP UK/overseas teams.
• Build relationships with clients to ensure outcomes and satisfaction.
• Contribute to innovative approaches, new services and digital products.
• Contribute to Future Ready and Net Zero programmes.
• Act as ambassador for best practice within Asset Design.
• Undertake bid preparation, resource and budget development.
• Line manage and support the development of graduates and apprentices.
• Contribute to recruitment and growth of civil engineering teams.
• Continue development of technical, managerial and leadership skills.
