Job summary

Hydro International Limited, a CRH Company, is a leading global provider of advanced products and services for water management. We are seeking a Workshop Engineer to service, repair and refurbish wastewater equipment for major UK water utilities, with a mix of workshop and occasional site work across the UK.

The role requires a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification, strong fault-finding abilities, and a Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial mechanical installation and maintenance.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical and industrial equipment.
• Strip, inspect, rebuild, and refurbish machinery, pumps and heavy equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs down to component level.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare survey reports as required.
• Work safely in both workshop and customer sites.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using electronic devices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other trades to deliver high-quality work and customer service.
