Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a Further Work Resolution Technician in Ellesmere Port to act as the key link between works promoters and Alliance Partners, ensuring efficient, safe delivery of further works.

You will own customer-impacting activities on site, champion trenchless technology, and support teams to comply with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and regulatory standards. A standby rota is required.

Qualifications

• HNC in Civil Engineering or significant equivalent experience in wastewater, utilities, or civils operations.
• Extensive knowledge of sewer network operations and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on civils and wastewater ops: excavation, trenching, CCTV, jetting.
• Strong safety compliance knowledge including CDM, NRSWA.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between works promoters and Alliance Partners to deliver works effectively and align with customer expectations.
• Own customer-impacting activities on site, make informed decisions and resolve issues quickly.
• Promote trenchless technologies to minimise excavation and reduce costs.
• Support operational teams to ensure Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, Security, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as Responsible Person for Health & Safety on on-site activities.
• Represent Wastewater Network Operations to ensure assets meet specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to UU and Alliance Partner field teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities and drive performance.
