Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer – Wastewater to join our growing teams in Birmingham, Derby, Redditch, Cardiff or Bristol. You’ll work with experienced process engineers to deliver practical treatment solutions and high‑quality outputs across a varied wastewater portfolio.

You will contribute to design calculations and mass balances, prepare technical reports, and support projects from feasibility through to construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering required.
• Interest in process engineering within the water sector.
• Understanding of process engineering and wastewater treatment.
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organise workload and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to process designs, calculations, mass balances and wastewater treatment assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Support projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
• Assist with site investigations, asset assessments, treatment optimisation and technical studies.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions.
• Build technical capability through mentoring, training and hands-on project experience.
