Job summary

ABM is one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility services, driving cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments across industries. The role covers plant operation, sampling, chemical management and continuous improvement, based at Belfast sites, with a three-month contract and full-time hours.

Key responsibilities include operating wastewater treatment, monitoring process readings, maintaining safety and compliance, and supporting maintenance and reporting activities

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 technical qualification in water/wastewater treatment, environmental operations, science or engineering or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail; ability to record process readings and identify abnormal conditions.
• IT literate with ability to use standard Microsoft applications and electronic reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor effluent/wastewater treatment plant in accordance with site procedures and defined operating parameters.
• Carry out routine plant checks, record readings, tank levels and chemical stock levels.
• Maintain deionised water systems and support safe chemical additions within environmental limits.
• Respond to alarms and escalated issues, ensuring a safe condition and proper handovers.
• Provide clear fault information and support maintenance teams as required.
