Job summary

Veolia is hiring an Operative at our Hatton and Bioresources sites in Scotland. Reporting to the Unit Controller, you will help run Seghers dryer BFPs, GBTs centrifuges, and related processes, ensuring work is completed on time, to cost and to quality standards.

The role involves SCADA checks, laboratory sampling, routine plant and network checks, first-line maintenance and problem solving, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Training leads to progression within Veolia.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is essential.
• Experience in a wastewater environment or similar process.
• Willing to achieve SVQ 3 Wastewater Management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and report on activities within established procedures, monitor, test and analyse service performance and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained and replaced to meet business standards.
• Carry out routine activities to time and quality standards to ensure the smooth running of the process on a day-to-day basis.
• Support of planned maintenance system; complete PPM and task specs.
• Input critical data accurately.
