Job summary

ABP Perth is seeking a hands-on operator to run, monitor and maintain the effluent plant and support the Environment & Sustainability operation. You will work Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:30, as part of a larger team and report to the Environmental & Sustainability Manager.

Experience in water treatment is advantageous; full training provided. The role offers an on-site environment at ABP Perth with opportunities to develop skills in system operation, compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.
• Must understand the fundamentals of water treatment and why it is necessary.
• Broad site knowledge and understanding of the site drainage system.

Responsibilities

• Continually run, monitor and maintain the effluent treatment plant.
• Understand the compliance required from Scottish Water to ensure discharge limits are not breached.
• Undertake daily analysis of the effluent to optimise plant operation.
• Ensure smooth handovers with colleagues and train others as needed.
• Adhere to health, safety and food safety policies at all times.
