Job summary
Arup is seeking a wastewater hydraulic modeller to join our multi-disciplinary water team across Wales and Southwest England. You will work on catchment-scale wastewater modelling, using 1D hydraulic models to analyse risk, improve water quality and reduce flood risk, with a focus on storm overflows and treatment works.
You will develop survey specifications, manage sub-contractors, spend time on site, and contribute to the modelling centre of excellence with technical reports, design support,
Qualifications
- Experience in hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field; progress toward chartership.
- Proven track record delivering UK water projects with public and private sector clients and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Deliver catchment-scale wastewater modelling and design projects across Wales and SW England.
- Develop survey specifications, manage survey sub-contractors, and site data collection.
- Build and analyse hydraulic models and prepare technical reports and business cases.
- Collaborate within Arup's Modelling Centre of Excellence and interdisciplinary water team.
