Job summary

Arup is seeking a wastewater hydraulic modeller to support and enhance our team across Wales and Southwest England. You will join a dynamic multi-disciplinary technical delivery group delivering catchment scale modelling and storm overflow projects.

You will work within our global modelling centre and a local water team to develop innovative solutions, deliver design process stages from feasibility to detailed design, and promote nature-based solutions while offering mentorship and career

Qualifications

Practical experience in hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry.
Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, with progress toward chartership with an appropriate professional body.
Proven track record of successfully delivering water projects in the UK, including collaboration with both public and private sector clients and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

Use 1D hydraulic models for risk analysis and the development of solutions to improve water quality and reduce flood risk across Wales and Southwest England.
Develop wastewater catchment survey specifications and manage survey sub-contractors, spending time on site during the project lifecycle.
Be part of the Modelling Centre of Excellence and embedded in the local multi-disciplinary water team, delivering technical reports and modelling deliverables.
