Job summary

Lanes Group Plc, through Sapphire Utility Solutions, seeks a role-based operative at Davyhulme WWTW to support United Utilities’ sewer network projects. The position involves cleaning, CCTV inspections, jetting, and customer liaison within a shift pattern (8am–6pm front; 12pm–10pm back) including weekends and bank holidays.

You will work with a UU Operative to deliver compliant, safe investigations and repairs while using digital devices for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

  • HGV Class 2 licence required with no more than 6 points.
  • Shift-based pattern with early and late front/back shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist United Utilities Customer Support Technician to inspect and clear blockages in the sewer network.
  • Carry out high pressure water jetting and CCTV inspections when required.
  • Use laptops/tablets for data entry and report safety issues per procedures.
  • Inform customers about works, timescales and address concerns.
  • Maintain and service jetting equipment and keep safety standards.

Job description

The role available will be working from the Davyhulme WWTW alongside a United Utilities Customer Support Technician, where you will be required to work on the Bucket 1 reactive contract solving problems on the sewer network. This role will be on a shift-based pattern with working times of 8am to 6pm front shift and 12pm to 10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.,

  • You will be working closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
  • Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales
  • Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
  • Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
  • Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
  • Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
