Job summary

Hills Waste Solutions in Lower Compton seeks a Waste Transfer Station Foreman to lead daily site operations and supervise operatives. You will ensure safety, efficiency and compliance with environmental and health & safety legislation at the transfer station.

You will oversee fixed and mobile plant equipment, maintain records and support weighbridge activities, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional site environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Solid health, safety and environmental compliance understanding.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Certification to operate mobile plant (e.g., NPORS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the Waste Transfer Station, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Supervise site operatives and maintain high standards of performance and safety.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, waste management and health & safety legislation and site procedures.
• Operate fixed and mobile plant equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
• Maintain accurate operational records, reporting and weighbridge duties.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, organized site.
