Job summary

Hills Waste Solutions in Lower Compton is seeking a Waste Transfer Station Foreman to lead day-to-day operations, supervise site operatives and ensure safety, efficiency and compliance with company policies and procedures.

You will oversee the operation and maintenance of fixed and mobile plant equipment, maintain accurate records, support weighbridge activities and deliver excellent customer service in a clean, well-organised site environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience with supervising teams.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and compliance records.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental rules.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills for site operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Certification to operate mobile plant (e.g. NPORS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the Waste Transfer Station safely and efficiently.
• Supervise site operatives, provide guidance and maintain high performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, waste management and health & safety legislation.
• Operate fixed and mobile plant equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
• Maintain accurate operational records, support weighbridge activities.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organised site.
