Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a consultant to join our Responsible Consumption and Production team. You will contribute to waste management options appraisals, waste flow and cost modelling, and procurement advisory input, delivering high-quality reports and client-focused solutions.

The role offers hybrid working, with two days per week in the office or project sites across the UK, and opportunities to mentor junior staff while developing business and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working for a consultancy, local authority or another organisation on waste management related projects.
• Experience contributing to options appraisal, waste flow modelling or technical procurement advice.
• Understanding of UK resources and waste legislation and policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects using internal procedures to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
• Provide technical input and draft reports with input from others.
• Attend client meetings from inception to final reporting with diverse stakeholders.
• Lead and support proposal development to ensure high quality and competitiveness.
• Develop and deliver services using innovative, robust methodologies and client focus.
• Build and maintain client relationships to grow work pipelines.
• Lead or deliver varied projects collaboratively, adhering to company policies.
