Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a procurement-focused consultant to join the Circular Economy & Waste Advisory team, helping to deliver projects across waste infrastructure and environmental services.

You will manage projects, draft reports, attend client meetings, and develop competitive proposals while mentoring junior staff and building client relationships. The role offers hybrid working across the UK, with development opportunities and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• First degree in science, environment or engineering.
• Experience in environmental and waste services procurement for local authorities.
• Experience developing procurement documents: specifications, tender invitations, pricing, and payment mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects with on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
• Provide input as technical expert on waste projects and draft reports.
• Attend client meetings from inception to final reporting.
• Lead and support high-quality, competitive proposals.
• Develop services using innovative, robust, time- and cost-efficient methods.
• Build and maintain relationships to develop work pipelines.
