Job summary

WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm in the UK and Ireland. We are growing our Responsible Consumption and Production team with a focus on waste and resources management, offering advisory services and procurement support to UK and international clients.

The role involves leading and delivering options appraisals, waste flow modelling, business case development and procurement advisory input, with opportunities for mentoring and client engagement across a range of projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy, local authority or other organisation on waste management projects.
• Experience with options appraisal, waste flow and cost modelling.
• Understanding of UK waste legislation and policy.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to manage time effectively.
• Degree in a relevant subject (science, environment or engineering).

Responsibilities

• Manage projects within internal procedures, delivering on time and within budget with high client satisfaction.
• Provide technical input and contribute to reports and material.
• Attend client meetings from inception to final reporting across stakeholders.
• Lead and support development of high-quality, clear and competitive proposals.
• Develop and deliver services using innovative, robust, cost-effective methodologies.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and networks to expand work pipelines.
• Lead or deliver varied projects in collaboration with colleagues while adhering to company policies.
