Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a consultant for the Responsible Consumption and Production team.

You will lead options appraisals, waste flow and cost modelling, and provide procurement advisory input on projects for public and private sector clients. The role involves line management or mentoring of junior staff, developing business cases, and contributing to proposals and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working for a consultancy, local authority or another organisation on waste management related projects.
• Experience developing several of: options appraisal (qualitative & quantitative), waste flow and cost modelling, procurement documents and tender requirements.
• Understanding of resources and waste legislation and policy in the UK.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to team knowledge and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey key conclusions succinctly.
• Excellent time management.
• Degree in a relevant subject (science/environment/engineering) is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects using internal procedures to ensure on-time delivery, within budget, and high client satisfaction.
• Provide technical expert input across waste projects, including drafting reports with input from others.
• Attend client meetings from inception to final reporting with diverse stakeholders.
• Lead and support development of competitive, high-quality proposals.
• Develop and deliver services using innovative, robust methodologies that are time- and cost-efficient and client-focused.
• Build and maintain client relationships to grow the business pipeline.
• Lead or deliver varied projects while collaborating with colleagues and upholding company policies.
