Leicestershire County Council is recruiting for a permanent Waste Operations role at County Hall, Leicester. You will support recycling and waste site operations, monitor data and finances, and assist with contracts and weighbridge duties.

Salary: £29,550 - £32,055 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). The position is subject to a non-contractual retention payment after successful completion of probationary period of £125 per month, subject to eligibility criteria.
Working Hours:37 hours per week (Usually Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work and / or Bank Holiday work may berequired. Start times from 7am and finish times of up to 18:00)

About the Role
As a key member of the team, you will support the delivery of a high-quality Recycling and Household Waste Site and Waste Transfer Station Service. You will work closely with your line manager to monitor, manage and report on waste related data, finances, duty of care paperwork and to assist with the supervision and procurement of waste and auxiliary contracts.
You will be required to use intermediate Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and to be trained on the Council’s weighbridge software.
In addition, there will be opportunities to be trained to operate the Council’s mobile plant.
