Job summary

SUEZ Preston is seeking an enthusiastic team player to operate and maintain plant at a busy material transfer station. You will control, transfer and stockpile waste and recyclables, working solo or as part of a team to keep operations efficient.

The role requires licences for loading shovel, 360 tele-handler and forklift, strong health and safety focus, good communication and customer service, and flexibility to cover weekends and annual leave.

Qualifications

• Operational experience and licences for loading shovel, 360 tele-handler and forklift.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and fixed plant and maintain equipment.
• Manage traffic and guide tipping vehicles.
• Operate the weighbridge and record vehicle weights accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare duties for employees and others.
• Co-operate with colleagues to meet site permits and policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and the public.
• Undertake first aid / fire safety duties as required and other duties as requested.
