Job summary

SUEZ Aberdeen is seeking a proactive team player to operate at a busy material transfer station. You will work both independently and in a team to control, transfer and stockpile waste and recyclables, while ensuring accurate recording at the weighbridge and delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires licences for loading shovel, 360 tele-handler and forklift, a focus on health and safety, willingness to cover weekends, and flexibility in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Operational licences for loading shovel, 360 tele-handler and forklift.
• Waste/ recycling or similar process environment experience is highly regarded.
• Excellent understanding and approach to health & safety.
• Great communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and fixed plant, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Manage traffic, such as guiding tipping vehicles.
• Operate the weighbridge and accurately record the weight and other specified details of vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Ensure that SUEZ complies with health, safety and welfare duties.
• Co-operate with SUEZ and other employees to comply with site permits and regulations.
• Co-operate directly with customers and the public, providing excellent customer service.
• Undertake first aider / fire safety duties on site as required.
