WWL (Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) are recruiting a Porter based at Wrightington Hospital to work 37.5 hours per week, with a shift pattern from 1.00 pm to 9.00 pm, Monday to Friday. The post requires flexible availability and may require cover for colleagues during absences.
The Porter will support day-to-day operations across the site, moving patients, goods and waste using vehicles and equipment.

The post holder would be expected should the need arise to provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
Based at the above siteand providing an efficient day to day Portering service for patients, service users transferring patients and all manner of stock items to and from all departments across the site.
Portering Services provides 24 hours, 7 day a week, 365 days a year service across all trust sites.
The successful candidates will have good numeracy and communication skills, a reliable worker and be flexible in their availability to work all manner of shifts in any 24-hour period.
Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
