Job summary

Veolia in Runcorn is seeking a Waste Operations teammate to collect waste, manually handle bins and operate FLT equipment. You will bale waste streams, maintain the area’s cleanliness and ensure correct logging of activities.

The role requires prior manual handling experience and a valid FLT licence (B1 Counterbalance up to 5000kg). 30 hours per week, with early/late shifts and one weekend every three weeks.

Qualifications

• Similar operational manual handling experience.
• Experienced and qualified FLT driver (B1 Counterbalance up to 5000kg).

Responsibilities

• Collect waste from designated waste stations as part of a team.
• Manually pull bins and load into tipper skips, tipping into the correct waste stream.
• Load/unload trailers using FLT and bale various waste streams.
• Maintain cleanliness of the waste area and handle confidential and hazardous waste.
• Complete area logbooks accurately.

Salary: £22,592.51 plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 30 hours per week, 4 days between 7am - 7pm. Working early and late shifts, including 1 weekend in 3 and bank holidays

What will you be doing:

• Working as part of a team to collect waste from designation waste stations
• Manually pulling bins and loading them in tipper skips and tipping into correct waste stream
• Loading/unloading trailers via FLT
• Baling Various waste streams
• Maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness within the waste area
• Handling and disposing of Confidential and Hazardous waste
• Ensuring accurate completion of area logbooks
