Job summary

Veolia UK in Falkirk is seeking a driver to join our waste management fleet. You will drive to planned collection locations, move containers, and ensure paperwork is submitted daily. Expect early starts and a 48-hour week with some schedule flexibility.

We offer a competitive salary (£39,835.85 per year) plus Veolia benefits and daily meal allowances. Training and development opportunities are available as part of a supportive, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) license required.
• CPC up to date required.
• Digi / Tachograph Card required.
• Waste management experience desirable.
• RORO and Skip experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty multiple commercial waste containers.
• Ensure all information is input into the onboard system and paperwork is submitted daily.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per driver operator handbook.
• Comply with all traffic laws and load weight regulations.
• Keep the carriageway clean and clean up any spillages.

Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 4am starts and finishing at 14:00 Some days you will be asked to start later so you must be flexible with working hours

What you'll be doing

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

What we're looking for

• Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) license
• Up to date CPC
• Digi / Tachograph Card
• Desirable
• Previous waste management experience
• RORO and Skip experience
