Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is hiring for a Main area Waste & Grounds Grade Band 2 role. The post is permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week, five days) at Salisbury District Hospital, with an annual salary of £25,272 pro rata if part time.

Main duties include waste management, grounds maintenance, and operating site vehicles on a large hospital campus. A UK Category B driving licence is essential and some weekend work may be required after induction.

Qualifications

• Work experience in Waste Management or Stores Environment
• Ability to read & write in the English Language
• Basic numeracy skills
• UK Driving Licence (Cat B Manual)
• Physically fit to be able to walk long distances & undertake physically demanding tasks
• Work experience in Grounds or Gardening
• Site Knowledge of SDH
• Fork Lifts Truck Operator Licence
• Tug Driving Experience on a large busy site
• Evidence of employment in similar role

Responsabilités

• Carrying out Waste Management and Grounds duties across the hospital site.
• Operating electric vehicles, flat-bed trucks and other equipment after induction.
• Grounds maintenance tasks on a 22-hectare site.
• Weekend solo working may be required after induction.
