Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a hands-on Waste Management/Stores Operative for our rural hospital site. The role is varied, outdoors and indoors, with a rotating sequence between waste transport, waste collection, and grounds maintenance on our 22-hectare site.

A UK Category B driving licence is required to operate our electric vehicles and flat-bed truck. You must read and write in English, have basic numeracy, and be physically fit for long walks and manual handling.

Qualifications

• Work experience in Waste Management or Stores Environment
• Ability to read & write in the English Language
• Basic numeracy skills
• UK Driving Licence (Cat B Manual)
• Physically fit to be able to walk long distances & undertake physically demanding tasks
• Work experience in Grounds or Gardening
• Site Knowledge of SDH
• Fork Lifts Truck Operator Licence
• Tug Driving Experience on a large busy site
• Evidence of employment in similar role
