Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a dedicated professional to monitor a complex waste collection and street scene contract in the south of Buckinghamshire. The role requires outdoor work, strong customer service, and the ability to coordinate with partners and the contractor to ensure high service standards.

You will spend time on site visits, manage casework, and support targeted initiatives while maintaining excellent working relationships across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring contracts and operations in the waste industry.
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and in a mobile role; access to a vehicle provided.
• Full UK (manual) driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contracts to maintain high health and safety and operational standards for waste, recycling, street cleansing and related services.
• Undertake site visits and resolve customer enquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional relationships with the waste management team, service providers and stakeholders.
• Manage case work with prioritisation within Service Level Agreements.
• Support projects and communications campaigns.
