Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a dedicated professional to monitor a complex waste collection and street scene contract in the south of Buckinghamshire. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a permanent position to undertake a key role within the South Waste Collection and Street Scene Services Team at Buckinghamshire Council.
You'll use your proven track record of monitoring contracts and operations, ideally supported by knowledge of the waste industry to help ensure the optimum outcomes and performance of our waste contract.
The role is mobile and you will be required to work outside, access to a vehicle is provided.

We are a fast paced team managing a complex outsourced waste collection and street cleansing contract in the south of Buckinghamshire. We serve a diverse community and work closely with residents, Councillors, partner agencies and local organisations to keep our streets clean, support responsible waste management, and improve the local environment.

A ‘mobile’ role gives you the flexibility to schedule your own diary, so you can meet with colleagues and clients in a variety of locations. You’ll access digital folders and resources on your laptop and be able to use the network wherever you are based. Working from home will be common, as well as meeting your team in the office where necessary.

Knowledge and understanding of key waste management legislation will be an advantage as well as knowledge of approaches to contract management and performance management.
A full UK (manual) driving licence is required.
The team work in the office 2 days a week, with Wednesdays being a set team office day. Your second day is dependent on business demands/team meeting priorities.
