Bradford Council’s Waste Services is recruiting two Waste Collections Managers to lead a large team across domestic and commercial collections. Based at Harris Street Depot, Bradford, you will oversee up to 240 staff and 80 vehicles, driving service improvements while maintaining safety and compliance.
You will recruit, onboard and supervise staff, manage performance data, liaise with stakeholders, and present reports to senior figures. Regular shifts Tue-Fri with overtime as required.
Waste Services are looking to recruit 2 x Waste Collections Managers to join the existing team of managers.
They will be responsible for delivering daily operations across the district, in relation to all waste collection functions provided for domestic and commercial services. This is a demanding and busy role, covering the shared management of c240 employees, c80 vehicles and involves a high level of staff and customer interaction and resolution of operational challenges.
Based at Harris Street Depot, Bradford but may be required to travel to depots around the district as required.
Tuesday to Friday 37 hours (9.25 hours per day plus 30-minute unpaid break) Required to cover either shift pattern. Early shift 5:30am to 3:15pm Late shift 8:15am to 6:00pm Casual overtime may be required outside of normal operating hours and at weekends.
