Job summary

SRG is seeking a Technical Assessor to apply chemistry knowledge in a practical waste setting, making technical decisions that keep waste managed safely, efficiently and compliantly. The role is office-based with a pathway from a Site Chemist background, and recent Chemistry graduates will be considered for commercial/compliance development.

Qualifications

• HND/HNC or BSC in Chemistry or course with significant chemistry content.
• Previous experience in a Site Chemist role, with knowledge of chemical waste analysis and waste management processes, is preferred.
• Must have full right to work in the UK there is no sponsorship available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assess technical and chemical waste enquiries from customers and sales teams.
• Identify suitable disposal routes for packaged and bulk waste.
• Produce accurate quotations in line with legislation, permits and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate laboratory testing where further waste analysis is required.
• Provide technical advice to customers and internal teams on waste acceptance and disposal.
• Manage non-conformances and support waste acceptance activities within quality and safety standards.
• Build strong working relationships with third-party treatment and disposal partners.
