Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking a motivated Chemistry graduate or Waste Assessor to join a growing environmental business. The role focuses on classifying soils and construction materials and managing waste safely and compliantly, with hands-on training.

Working with experienced specialists, you will review lab results, assist with waste classification and reporting, and liaise with laboratories and clients to keep projects moving.

Formación

• Chemistry degree or related scientific qualification.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Live within a commutable distance to Bristol.
• Experience in waste classification or laboratory testing is desirable.

The Role

As a Technical Waste Assessor, you'll help determine how soils and construction materials should be classified, treated and managed safely and compliantly.

Working alongside experienced technical specialists, you will:

• Review laboratory results and interpret chemical analysis.


• Assist with waste classification and technical reporting.


• Help identify potential contaminants and suitable testing requirements.


• Support compliant, cost-effective and environmentally responsible waste solutions.


• Liaise with colleagues, laboratories and customers to keep projects moving.

About You

• Full UK Driving Licence


• Academic background in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Science


• Full Right to work in the UK


• Live within a commutable distance of Bristol


• Ideally have some experience within waste classification/labs
