Job summary

The Bryntirion Inn in Llandderfel, near Bala, is seeking a friendly Waiter/Waitress to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and help ensure a smooth, enjoyable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and professional manner with customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to tables when required.
• Present menus and provide detailed information about food and drink offerings.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and courteously.
• Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address requests.
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery, and glassware.
• Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
• Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining area.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
