Highgate Care Services Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Maple Court, Scarborough. The role supports the Cook in preparing nutritious meals for residents and assists with serving while respecting individual dietary needs.

Responsibilities

To assist the Cook with the preparation of varied, nutritious meals for residents.
Help with serving meals and accommodate specific dietary needs while showing dignity and respect.
Understand and comply with HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health requirements for safe kitchen operation.
Maintain high kitchen cleanliness following schedules and use proper cleaning products.
Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and report faults promptly.
Receive and store new stock, rotate stock and maintain freshness of foodstuffs.
Be an integral part of the team, attending meetings and training as required.
