Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in the UK is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley, Staffordshire. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home, following our SOPs and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect.

The role requires reliability, flexibility to cover shifts at short notice, and a commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to our residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring areas are well presented and maintained.
• Ensuring that residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are respected.
