Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant - Bank at Silvermere Care Home in Cobham. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home, following our standard operating procedures and delivering hotel-style service.

The role requires knowledge of health and safety, experience in cleaning laundry, compassion for residents, and flexibility to cover shifts at short notice.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
