Job summary

Finsbury Food Group is seeking a Stock Controller for the Ultrapharm site in Wales. You will manage receive/store/pick/dispatch activities, ensure accurate stock handling, and support safety and quality across the warehouse.

The role requires strong numeracy, attention to detail and familiarity with warehouse systems. A UK driving licence and forklift counterbalance are desirable, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and literacy to handle stock data and paperwork.
• Detail-focused with accuracy and traceability in stock movements.
• Confident using warehouse systems and completing related paperwork.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Safety-conscious and compliant with GMP & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, store, pick, and dispatch stock according to order requirements.
• Safely load/unload vehicles and secure goods for transport.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and labels (ASNs, SSCCs, delivery notes, traceability tags).
• Coordinate with internal teams to maintain workflow and resolve stock queries.
• Maintain stock rotation using FEFO and support stock checks.
• Follow health & safety, food safety and GMP standards at all times.
• Report safety or quality issues promptly and participate in toolbox talks and safety audits.
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to reducing waste and errors.
• Act as a flexible team member across warehouse and logistics functions.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our Warehousing team at our Ultrapharm site as part of the Finsbury Food Group. The Stock Controller will help keep our goods moving and our operations running smoothly. From receiving and storing raw materials to dispatching finished products, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything gets where it needs to go—safely, efficiently, and accurately. Ultrapharm is a dedicated Gluten Free Bakery specialising in only Gluten Free Product since 1993. The Company’s unique approach to craft and baking creates premium gluten – free products with the flavour and taste of traditional bread. Our Products range from artisanal bread to our award winning Hot cross buns and Mince pies for Major Retailers such as M&S and Waitrose.

This is what you’ll actually do:

Ideally this is you:

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Familiarity with warehouse systems such as SAP or M3
• Competent with basic computer tasks and confident with paperwork
• Valid UK driving licence
• Forklift licence (counterbalance essential, reach desirable) if applicable
• Comfortable with manual handling up to 25kg (training provided)
• Positive and proactive with a “can-do” attitude
• Flexible and dependable—always focused on safe and efficient operations
