Job summary

Wolseley Infrastructure, a leading specialist trade merchant in the UK and Ireland, invites applications for an Operations Assistant based in Peterborough. The role covers general warehouse duties, order picking, packing, and customer service at the Trade Counter.

This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary up to £30,000 with bonuses and extensive benefits, including generous annual leave, pension, health initiatives, and staff discounts. 45 hours per week, Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• Experience working with customers.
• Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Able to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines.
• Able to handle a physically demanding job.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• General Warehouse duties
• Picking and packing stock, which will involve some heavy lifting
• Loading/unloading vehicles safely
• Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures
• You will need to support the Trade Counter as required providing exceptional customer service at all times.
