Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a reliable warehouse technician in Coventry for a 6-month fixed-term contract, 30 hours per week. You will pick orders, inventory stock, and repair hardware, with potential extension. A valid UK driving licence is required, and weekend or night work may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse, supply chain, inventory, or technical repair role.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose hardware issues.
• Experience with pallet preparation, order picking, and inventory management processes.
• Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
• Detail-oriented with accurate inventory counts and repair quality.
• Time management to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
• Strong communication to liaise with supervisors and teammates.
• Driver's licence preferred.
• Occasional weekend/evening work required.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and prepare pallets for deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete accurate inventory counts and maintain stock records.
• Repair cameras and hardware components for field readiness.
• Diagnose faults in returned camera hardware and decide on repair or replacement.
• Onboard/scan products into the system as required.
• Maintain records of work, parts used, and time spent with company tools.
• Operate warehouse equipment (pallet trucks, hand tools) safely.
• Adhere to safety protocols to minimise risks during operations.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely order completion and repairs.
• Maintain high attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
