Job summary

Booker is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager to support site management and ensure efficient, cost-effective warehouse operations. You will oversee receiving, storage, picking and dispatch to meet service levels and budgets, while promoting safety and high standards of delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, people management, and knowledge of warehouse processes. This position offers a structured career path within a busy retail logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising teams in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Strong people management, coaching, and development skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, productivity measures, and service delivery standards.

About the role

The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

You will be responsible for

You will ensure that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints, whilst maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.

You will need

Qualifications recommended GCSE or equivalent to GCSE 4 and above.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience managing or supervising teams within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop colleagues.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, productivity measures, and service delivery standards.

• Understanding of performance management and colleague development processes.
• Relevant warehousing, logistics, or management qualifications.
• Experience with labour planning, resource allocation, or budget control.
