Job summary

Booker is hiring a Warehouse Team Manager in Greater London to lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking and dispatch. You will manage teams, drive productivity, balance budget constraints and uphold safety standards.

You will implement process improvements, coach staff, and collaborate with site management to deliver excellent service to customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong people management skills with ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, productivity measures and service standards.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.

About the role

The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

You will be responsible for

You will ensure that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints, whilst maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.

You will need

Qualifications recommended GCSE or equivalent to GCSE 4 and above.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience managing or supervising teams within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop colleagues.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, productivity measures, and service delivery standards.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing demands.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering service excellence.
• Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience working within an FMCG warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience managing large teams across multiple shifts.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience supporting operational improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of performance management and colleague development processes.
• Relevant warehousing, logistics, or management qualifications.
• Experience with labour planning, resource allocation, or budget control.
