Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager for the Newhouse depot to lead a sizeable team ensuring accurate picking and packing, while maintaining safety and policy adherence. You’ll coach staff, drive performance, and partner with internal teams to meet deadlines and quality goals.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and IT skills, with a focus on improving processes and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Must have previously managed a sizeable team in a logistics or FMCG setting.
• Proven ability to plan and organise workflow under tight deadlines.
• Strong, clear communication with team and internal partners.
• Excellent IT skills and comfort with data and reporting tools.

Warehouse Team Manager - Back Shift

£32,200 - £39,560 per annum, inclusive of shift premium plus great benefits

2pm - 10pm any 5 days over 7 including weekends

Full time - 39 hours per week

We’re looking for a warehouse team manager to join our team in the Newhouse depot.

You’ll be responsible for a sizeable team of warehouse operatives, making sure that all products are picked and packed in a safe and secure manner. We’ll look for you to engage with your team; leading and coaching them to deliver better results week on week, along with making sure that they adhere to working standards, policies and procedures.

What you’ll do

• manage a sizeable team of warehouse operatives
• inspire, engage and coach your team to be highly efficient
• work towards tight deadlines and critical measures
• develop and build positive relationships with various internal business partners
• drive warehouse standards, procedures and policies- particularly health and safety
• analyse performance data
• identify areas to improve process within your team and the warehouse operations
• plan and organise the delivery of own and your teams work load

What you'll bring

• previously managed a sizeable team, preferably from a logistics or FMCG background
• the ability to work at pace and accuracy
• a great track record of reaching and exceeding critical performance measures
• an understanding and great knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
• great planning skills and able to organise your own and teams workload
• an understanding of how poor service can impact stores and customers
• strong and confident communication skills
• excellent IT skills
