Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager at our Stoke-on-Trent site. You will support the Lead Team Manager, manage the day-to-day activities of Warehouse Team Members, and ensure health & safety and SOPs are followed during shifts.

This is a full-time, temporary 6-month FTC with rotating days (07:00–15:00 and 15:00–23:00) and some weekend work. You will drive your team to meet KPIs and contribute to staff development and engagement.

• Experience supervising warehouse teams and leading shift operations.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Ability to meet and exceed KPIs including cost and service targets.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to support the operation within our Warehouse Team at our site in Stoke-on-Trent, Trentham. This is a chance to be part of a fast paced and challenging area of work to assist the Lead Team Manager in maintaining performance of the warehouse operations.

This is a full time, temporary position on a 6M FTC basis, predominately working on a rotating day shift pattern, covering the hours of 07:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 23:00, working 1 in 3 weekends. However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all.

You'll be paid a salary of up to £33,100.00 and receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Warehouse Team Members
• Manage Health & Safety and the Environment during shift whilst ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Drive your team members to succeed and be responsible for their own growth and development
• Meet and exceed KPI's including time, cost and customer service
• Ensure all team members receive effective business communications daily and deliver staff engagement plans to keep your team motivated

• Be confident and able to demonstrate strong leadership behaviours and have excellent team building and motivational skills to ensure you are setting an example to the rest of the team
• Able to communicate and interact well with all support functions including stock, HR, finance and recruitment
• Excellent organisation/ time management, interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
• People Management including experience of disciplinary investigations and other people processes
• Ability to work without direct supervision with knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Use of Microsoft Packages including Excel and Word with good analytical and numerical skills
