Job summary

B&M is seeking a Team Manager for the Bedford Distribution Centre. This is a full-time, permanent role leading a team in a fast-paced warehouse, with a weekend nights shift and hands-on responsibility reporting to the Shift Manager.

You will drive KPI delivery, maintain health and safety standards, and provide development support through reviews and training, while building strong colleague relationships in a busy retail logistics environment.

• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with colleagues.
• Proven track record of achieving KPIs.
• Strong communication, organisation and planning skills.
• Can-do attitude; no task is too big or too small.

Job description

Are you an experienced warehouse and logistics/Warehousing professional? Are you ready to take that first step into management? Or are you already leading a team and want to join one of the UK’s largest retailers?

We are currently searching for a Team Manager to join the team in our Distribution Centre in Bedford.

The Shift Pattern available is: Weekend Nights

This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will take responsibility for a team of colleagues and lead them to deliver a fast, accurate and efficient service in our warehouse. You will be reporting directly to the Shift Manager.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. You will be given full, inhouse training on our internal systems, but you must have previous experience working in a warehouse environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading, motivating and supporting your team to deliver high service levels
• Managing your section in terms of KPI’s
• Maintaining high standards across the Distribution Centre, especially with Health and Safety
• Conducting development reviews and providing advice to colleagues where appropriate
• Planning and managing staff training, conducting interviews and investigations where required.
