Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment is hiring a Warehouse Team Leader in the Lutterworth area. You will lead on-floor activities, allocate workloads and drive safe, efficient warehouse operations from receiving to dispatch.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, a valid Counterbalance FLT licence, and a track record of achieving daily targets while maintaining stock accuracy and safety standards. Monday–Friday, early start hours apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Previous team leader or senior operative role.
• Experience coordinating daily warehouse operations.
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
• Experience with multiple types of MHE is a plus.
• Knowledge of stock control and warehouse processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities and allocate workloads.
• Monitor productivity and ensure daily targets are met.
• Oversee receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of stock.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing and loading of orders.
• Maintain stock accuracy through checks and cycle counts.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and operational issues.
• Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment and report defects.
• Maintain housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Report accidents, near misses and hazards promptly.
• Provide guidance and training to warehouse colleagues.
• Support induction and development of new team members.
• Encourage teamwork, accountability and high standards.
• Identify process improvements and ways of working.
